Craig y Rhondda is a not-for-profit environmental project based in Treherbert, focused on helping people connect with the local landscape, wildlife and nature around them. The project is rooted in the upper Rhondda Valley and works with the community to encourage care for the natural world.

 

Activities include nature talks, environmental training, wildlife workshops and guided walks. Topics cover local wildlife, bats, birds, ecology, volunteering, science and practical ways people can support nature where they live. The project also supports churches with Eco Church work and offers workshops around wildlife homes such as bird boxes, bat boxes and bug hotels.

 

Craig y Rhondda is also affiliated with A Rocha as a Partner in Action and describes its vision as valleys rich in wildlife, where communities are connected and empowered to care for creation.
